Sure! Look at it this way - if ours is the only one, we will get it for that amount image

I had a chance to see a preview of it in New York in January. Some very nice coins in there.

Had a neat package waiting for me today, including a USB stick and the following letter:

    << <i>Dear Mr. M,

Thank you for your interest in the sealed bid auction of the Magnificent Coins of the Spanish World, The Archer M. Huntington Collection - Property of the Hispanic Society of America. Please find enclosed the bidding packet for participating in the sealed bid auction ending on Thursday, March 8, 2012. The packet includes:

    - Auction Pre-Registration Form

    - USB Drive - The USB Drive which contains a complete photographic record of the collection (images of the obverse and reverse of every coin). Unless you are the successful bidder, you must return any USB drive provided to you to Sotheby's within two weeks of the close of the Sealed Bid Auction process, which will end on March 8, 2012

    - Sealed Bid Auction Procedures and Terms of Sale

    - Bid Form

Additionally, in order for you to bid on the collection, Sotheby's may require that you wire a bidding deposit of $1,000,000 into Sotheby's account by Monday, March 5, 2012. If you are the successful bidder, this bidding deposit will be credited towards the payment of the total winning bid...

    etc...

    >>

So, JCM, you're wiring me that $500,000 for the deposit? image

Today is the last day of the exhibition and unfortunately I cannot make it.
I looked at the online catalog and there is not even a listing of the coins.

I hope you will copy the entire USB stick before you return it and put those images
on a DVD for future reference (personal use, of course). I, for one, would like a copy.
