So speaking of sequencing...

There is a Major Hall of Famer behind the front card of one of the Fritsch 1970 cellos on EBay. You may ask why I am not buying it then...well its probably off-center!

Doesn't matter for me as I wouldn't rip it open anyway, but you might tempt someone else with some clues. image

I'm torn Mike because I still kinda want it but I also kinda want it gone so it doesn't keep tempting me!

Of course, sequencing is not always the same in every run--though the odds are at least in your favor

I'll say this - 4 times I have pulled the card showing and all 4 times the Major Hall of Famer was behind it. Cellos and wax.

Is it the Sanguillen or Mota pack?

OK it wasn't fair of me to start this - except I am providing a public service that there is a hot pack among the Fritsches. So since it was not fair, I will at least say it is a Series 6 and we are talking about a great hitter.

So no to Mota and Sanguillen packs.

Gotta be Rose, Mays or Banks, right?
  • NikklosNikklos Posts: 1,411 ✭✭✭
It is a "Mr." alright but that's the wrong Mr. Tell you what, there may be a clue in a previous post of mine. And if you beat me to buying the pack, good luck with the centering and let me know how it goes. I have 4 already all o/c.

I'm trying to imagine how many series 6 70s packs you would have had to open to pick up on this sequence.

And I wish you hadn't mentioned this because I've been trying to decide on a 70s cello pack to buy the past 3 or 4 days and now your in my head. image

There's another one in Series 6 unless our definitions differ. And then of course there's Rose, who is Major in any book.

  • Yeap Ernie is a hall of famer, but willie is a major hall of famer and no doubt he should be joined by pete as such.

You can pick up a PSA 8 Banks for under $90 and a PSA 9 for less than the $480 BIN, right?
  • NikklosNikklos Posts: 1,411 ✭✭✭
There are 32 other cards in the pack. Yes, true there are better ways to make money. I love ripping packs!

    Guys, it's Banks.

And before you go overpaying for a Fritsch pack Steve Hart has two graded cellos up on Ebay too that are much less costly at
    their current bids.

Mind you, none of these have the green box they originally came in but they are still nice packs to have.

And as for a PSA 9 Banks, VCP average is currently $312 with a high of $450.

If anyone does buy one of these graded packs and wants to crack it but keep it sealed, I have a bunch of the green cardboard
boxes (not in the best of shape, as many have writing on the front) which I'd be glad to send you 1 of.

    "Guys it's Banks"

Editing my earlier comment, Banks is correct for one cello and another one has Willie Mays as the 2nd Card but the best cello is the one that will give you Banks plus 3 minor hall of famers.
