Question about this peso

Hi all,

I received a Mexican Type set album yesterday with mostly non rare inexpensive coins in it. I took a couple of pictures and noticed something on this peso that I can't quite figure out what happened... maybe someone can enlighten me. I took the pics right through the mylar while the coin was still in the album but the pics on this one turned out good enough.

Look at the reverse shot about the lower middle of the eagles body. See it? There are what appears to be arrows or dentils or something pointing to the left... I tried to find something on the obv to match thinking it might of been a clashed die but didn't really find anything. The marks don't not appear post mint damage, but I have no idea how the got there. Ideas?

I'm going to guess that the coin was laying in the hopper and a coin edge struck it leaving a partial reeding imprint.

Maybe... I'll need to see what the reeds actually look like hadn't checked them. Here's a closer shot of the area...

Nevermind... I dug out a stronger loupe and can see that it actually is damage as they are gouges. Kind of interesting ones, but still gouges.
