The morgan example shown in the link looks like it was exposed to an atomic bomb blast. Good lord. Pretty horrible. Who'd want to buy a coin that looks like that?

Sadly, a lot of people who haven't looked at enough coins, or haven't been methodical and critical in their evaluation using lots and lots of examples of PCGS/NGC graded coins vs. PCGS Genuined coins, and people who have little knowledge of the methods toned coins develop natural toning, and the methods by which AT coins gain their color, are a ripe market for that garbage
I'd like my copper well done please!

    would be interesting reading.

Did you check out his completed auctions? He was selling a lot of low value items at opening bid and out in Jan. Apparently wasn't making any money so decided to write a book. Now the coins aren't even selling at the .99 opening bid. --Jerry

I'm sorry to make light of this. It's just that I find so much of what is wrong , humorous to a degree.

  • One of his examples looks just like your avatar, Coinosaurus!

I agree with you twosides, it's hilarious. More like this and the mystique will be gone, bad for the so-called experts.
