My favorite project .. and a little help needed

Well, it has taken me awhile, but I have nearly completed a Hall of Fame project. There are 146 baseball Hall of Famers that have a relic card (bat, jersey, patch, etc). After many years, and many dollars, I have obtained all but one of them (that's where the help comes in).

This is an awesome project, that I would love to display one day. Besides the obvious favorites, such as Ruth, Mantle, Gehrig, Mays, Clemente, Robinson and Ted Williams, I have so many personal favorites. Including a Don Drysdale 1/1 Jersey, a 3-Color Killebrew Patch /10, a Cobb jersey /50, and both Santro and Yaz have jersey cards that are jersey numbered. I still hold a special place for my 2001 UD Gold Glove Leon Day Game Used Glove. It is the only memorabilia card belonging to Day, and is limited to 100 copies. It took me forever to find. Several of them also contain an autograph, along with the relic, such as Snider, Weaver and Brock.

Besides new player introductions every year, every so often a new relic card is made that hadn't been made before. Surprisingly, there are no relic cards of Herzog, Dick Williams, Buck Leonard or Ray Dandridge. They all have very common autographs anyway.

The one card I am missing is a 2010 Topps Tribute Al Lopez bat. I just learned about it six months ago, and it is the only set with a Lopez relic card. I have been searching and searching, but have not yet found one. If anyone has one, please get a hold of me.

I have not seen it. I came across a '10 Rick Ferrel bat, which was the only set featuring a Ferrerll relic. After scooping it up, I checked on the Topps website to see if this set had more HOF'ers I didnt have. Sure enough, I see Lopez. I was actually going to try contacting Topps if I did not see one soon.

I have also thought about doing this similar project. What stops me is that I worry about the relics not being authentic. With all the fake stuff out there (even look at the Barry Halper debacle), Im afraid to spend all that money and then have them being COMPLETELY worthless. It's a nice accomplishment though!

This is my first post here,as I was compelled to join since stumbling upon your thread.So let me say HI.
First off awesome collection.I can understand the time a and dedication it takes to put a HOF GU set like this together.I would like to share some of my knowledge on the subject.I have spent a great time on perfecting my list.

Going by my list and scanning thru yours,there are a total of 148 HOF members Gu cards.Your missing Enos Slaughter-Jsy,Arky Vaughan-Bat and Earl Averill-Bat.
You also listed Jimmy Collins which is really Eddie Collins.The T-206 was an uncorrected error according to UD and Beckett,so you have him twice.

To the very best of my knowledge Al lopez does not have a memorabilia card made for him.However "Little Poison" Lloyd Waner does it's from 2006 TTT and a very tough find.More so that the Leon Day,congrats by the way on being a fellow owner,great card.

I also tried to use only jersey cards when the member had one and looks like you do the same.Joe Medwick does have a jsy card from Prime cuts I believe,if you go that route.

Again Amazing collection and Congrats,feel free to hit me up on the subject I don't want to beat up your thread.
