The Infantry commemorative silver dollar comes out next week...

Is anyone buying?

It'll be available on the 16th. The uncirculated silver dollars will have an introductory price of $44.95 each and then a regular price of $49.95. The proof $1s will have an introductory price of $49.95 and then a regular price of $54.95.

    Not a fan of the obverse design.

  • While I enjoy certain US mint offerings, it's crap like this that reminds me not to get too carried away and buy one of everything they make image. That coin is easily one of the least inspired designs that they've offered in some time and that's saying something...

    How many signatures would we need to collect to force the mint to consult with Mr. Carr on all designs imageimage?

    if not, then at least, is is it Made for Collectors in Limited Edition, with Certificate of Authenticity, and Special Packaging?

    I'll save mine in perfect condition so it can be just like the other half million identical units of "product"

    Early infantry symbol of crossed rifles and a modern warrior on the reverse / obverse. I like the juxtaposition, I like the idea, I like the design.
