I just got my grades for a crossover submission and I thought I would share my results here. I submitted 8 ANACS coins. 7 were in the older, smaller holders and 1 was in the newer slab with a yellow label. 6 of the 8 coins crossed. I requested that the minimum grade be the same as the ANACS grade for all except the new slab which I requested a minimum grade of 40 (it had been graded 45 by ANACS.)
ANACS MS62 -> PCGS MS62
ANACS MS65FSB -> PCGS MS65FB
ANACS EF45 -> PCGS XF40
ANACS MS65 -> PCGS MS65
ANACS MS64 -> PCGS MS64+
ANACS MS65 -> PCGS MS65+ (I thought this had a chance of 66)
Overall, I was happy with the results. There were 2 that did not cross. The first was an ANACS AU58 which I thought had a slim chance to cross so I wasn't too upset when it didn't. The one that I am disappointed about was an ANACS MS63 Morgan Dollar (shown below) which I feel is undergraded. PCGS feels that it has questionable color. What are your thougts?
