Good luck with your search.
I didn't realize it isn't cool to solicit on here. . . hope I don't piss anyone off. Seems really hard to network and find stuff you need now days. Ebay is getting very one dimensional.
Anyway, I only collect racks and unopened stuff. . . pretty cool seeing some of the items guys have on here. That 1975 rack box that a bunch of people "split" up and purchased on a thread was amazing.
I collect high end wrestling cards and obviously I am in the minority here but there are some extremely advanced collectors on the board and many collect very high end baseball cards and other sports so welcome to the boards.
Anyone collecting sealed 75 Topps racks with stars on top that will pay top dollar should be welcomed with open arms.

Some of those guys can probably help you out.
You came to the right place as there are lots of guys that love the 75's. I only buy like you, but I figured I'd post some pictures for you to enjoy.

Collecting:
Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.
In other words, if I did not have duplicates, I would need 110 racks total. But unfortunately, it is not that easy.
Nice Mike! Nice!

<< <i>WOW!! I don't collect baseball cards really any more but even that gets me excited! Awesome! >>
Thanks Dpeck. You've got some awesome wrestling cards yourself. When I think Andre the Giant, I think Dpeck.
Edited to add: Hi Tony and thanks.

<< <i>I'm not trying to build a set with the cards from the racks. . .my goal is very odd/unique. I'm trying to build the set with only the 6 cards that are showing on the front/back of each rack!
In other words, if I did not have duplicates, I would need 110 racks total. But unfortunately, it is not that easy. >>
I am also on the same quest. I think I'm around 30% complete as duplication is definitely a drawback. Good luck with it as I'm sure you are probably further along than me.

Welcome to the boards!
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Very impressive pics. Just can't beat this year.
I bought my first 1975 rack in 1990 for $18. I should have bought many more. Big mistake.
Then again, my dad collected cards from '52 -'55. And they all met unlikely deaths to bicycle spokes, old boxes, rubberbands, and ultimately, the trash.
What would a 75 Rack box fetch these days, 5K or so? Beautiful stuff boys!!!!

I bought my first one 1975 rack that I didn't bust open in 1994. Yes, if we only knew.

You just stabbed me in the heart with the Schmidt card
I don't know why this card has eluded me in unopened rack. To the best of my recollection, there have only been 2 on ebay in the past 10 years (I certainly may have missed others).
I missed the bidding on one because I got married.
I missed the bidding on the other because I got drunk.

Matt ... there are two ways to take that ... I'm not even going to think about the 2nd way! LMAO!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

<< <i>I believe Jarrod (scmavl) has a 75 rack with Pinella on top for sale on the BST board. I think he wants $255 for it. >>
He already sold it. Timing is everything I suppose.

Great stuff fellas
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
It appears the two suggestions are sold already.
Again, if anyone can stir up anything on my original hit list at the beginning of this thread, it would be very much appreciated.
Grote, did I mention that I liked your Schmidt?!??!?

If anyone is looking for graded cards for their 1975 sets, check out ebay. There is a seller (id - Termprod) that has three racks listed. If you click the box on the left entitled "completed listings", you will see some of his other stuff. I have done business with this man. . and his racks are the real deal. I have no monetary interest in his sales. I have, however, purchased 11 1975 topps racks from him in the past and they were awesome. He collected 1975 and 1976s racks as a kid and put them in storage for 35 years and just yanked them out. Just a thought for those that are hesitant to buy from an unknown.
Most of what he has left is commons, but with 42 mint cards, you might do well.
If ever decide to sell that one, I will definitely e-mail you first...as a Mets fan, though, there's another card on top there that I enjoy!
