Another one for the BBL

stuckey is the best 33 (all one word, don't leave any spaces, I did just so this thread isn't Google-able).

Haggled with me through BO on a modern card, gave me the "this is as high as I will go" on the last offer and I took it. Paid for the card the following day. I leave feedback for payment received and plan to ship it the next day.

Later that day, he sends me a message asking if I can cancel the transaction and refund his payment. I look into his bidding history, and he won the same card he bought from me in an auction for the same price, but that one was graded a PSA 9.

So, I had to cancel the transaction, and the worst part is that I had already left him positive feedback so I can't even deprive him of the feedback.

  • eBay really needs to start doing more to protect its sellers. Its defintely a buyers market out there.

I say they should start doing a "restocking fee" so when the buyer requst to cancel a transaction of a purchased that they already made, the seller still gets 10% of that canceled sale. That way, buyers can think twice before doing stuff like this and making them more responsible for there purchases and transactions.
  • Ebay won't do more foo, they never have, never will, and never intended to. The day they started outsourcing they went down the tube started with most stupid policies etc.

Whoever has the resources to start a real no-BS auction site will be the next billionaire.

Starting the no-BS auction site isnt the problem, getting people, particularly sellers, to use it is. New sites pop up all the time, the problem is, they have 200 listings of overpriced starting bids. Noone in there right mind is going to list stuff auction style on a new site with no traffic at prices that will help draw in lots of new bidders, because then they will lose there shirt on the items.

I agree....go to some of the auction sites now, even ones that are advertised here and the only listings are for people wanting 200% of regular selling price and there is no traffic. Sportlots is the closest thing to a "working" sportcard site, but the traffic is still limited and selling premium items will generally end well below market
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
