OT: Just bought an Epson v330 Scanner...

I rememberd a few guys on these boards had this scanner or a similar version as well.
Am I missing something or do these machines not auto-crop the image for you? I've been looking and I can't find anything that would make the scanner do that on its own. Also, if I wanted to crop the photo without losing and of the resolution, how would you do that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean locates the image and scans just that portion of the available scanning area? If that's what you mean, there is a box on the upper left corner of the preview screen that says "Marquee" under that there are a few more boxes, the one on the bottom left should say "Automatically locates the image" once you preview the item, you should get a dotted line you can drag wherever you want.
Hope this helps.

Now - if you can't find it - keep in mind - if you are using photobucket - which I use - you can crop it there:
and if you use this feature under "edit" - after cropping, I recommend the AUTO FIX (just press) - in most cases, it really makes a difference in the color depth.
