What % of Pop Report are Resubs?

so what % do you think are resubs? we know the numbers aren't entirely accurate, but how close is it?

For example, how many of these PSA 9s are dupes fro the 8 pile and how many are 9s subbed several times to try and be a 10?

PSA 10 - 10
PSA 9 - 1246
PSA 8 - 5300

How many of those reported 1246 9s, are actually today sitting in a 9 holder?

thats why VCP is the best indicator...

sometimes you'll see a pop 4 , but NONE for sale in last 5 years...
in that case, strong chance that one of the 4 is a resubmit

While we're on the topic...does the actual population ever drop, if someone cracks them and passes the info back to PSA? Is there a way to let them know?

If you send the cracked out flips back to PSA, they will adjust the pop reports (and cert verification accordingly). I've done this several times as when I send a submission in, I also send out some cracked out flips. Usually by the time the submission pops, the pop report has been updated w/ the cracked out flips also.

I have a feeling CollectorAtWork is one of the few that do sends back the flips. On some of these older cards I wonder how far off the actual pops are, just for reference.
