NEED ASSISTANCE WITH HUGE HOSTESS PANEL LOT!!!

Hello!

Attached is a picture of all the hostess panels I have and I am wondering how much it will cost to certify the panels and also what how I should go about doing this whole process... There is a total of 560 complete uncut boxes here and more than half of them are big names...

I am mainly a coin dealer but about a year ago I bought this entire house filled with an old baseball ard dealers inventory and it is mostly from 1909-1985 and there is rooms full of stuff I need to go through!!

Also is this a good place to list what I have for people to buy from me??

  • Your website says all inventory has been transferred to your ebay store.

I click on your ebay store, and it says that store doesn't exist.

So there is no inventory on your website, and no inventory in your ebay store according to what
I clicked on your website. Please advise. Thanks.

oh geez. lets not worry about the hostess panels when you have thousands of dollars in 71 Racks laying on your floor!!
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!
  • That is a Rack with Munson on front. Always nice when thousands of dollars are just sitting on the floor! image

  • I told him "Please proceed with care with the items you have... Those 71 racks aren't cheap, that Munson could fetch a TON. "...

I think that they thought the hostess panels were the expensive item in the room...

That's a creative way to sell your 71 racks

You've got a valuable find sitting there on your floor. It would be worth the time to research what you've really got. Don't be hasty, look things up on ebay and other sources. Like stated before, if that is a 71 rack with Munson you're sitting on big money.

That picture just stinks of being staged with that Munson rack being in the center of it. Sorry but WTF is really going on here?

Current market price (as of 4Q11) for a 1971 rack with Munson showing is around $850.

That was what I got this one for:

BTW, if there is as much as you indicated in your posting then your best bet would be to bring in one of the big Auction Houses
(Robert Edwards, SCP, Heritage, etc.) and let them go through it all and decide how best to break it up in one of their auctions.

Edwards consignment deadline is coming up soon. With this much material I'd bet they would probably do a 0% consignor's fee,
and might even give you 105% of the hammer price.

    Good luck.

There are 1971 Rack Packs where a real card was used instead of the yellow header card. Some question whether or not
the ones that used the real card in place of the header card is a legitimate Topps product, or whether it was produced by
    an alternate source.

Steve Hart (BBCE) has, so far, come down on the side of the "real card header" packs being legitimate Topps products.

    Hope that helps.

  • Yes indeed! That is a rack pack with a Munson Rookie right on the front!

I have such a massive amount of cards to still go through that I am just trying to work this out one section at a time... Is anyone interested in buying some cards?? If so then I can totally work out a sale for you guys...I have been holding most of this stuff for over a year and it is time to go..
