I'm showing cards that are OC - but wouldn't think of getting rid of?

Matty's thread on centered cards reminded me of a thread I did years ago about cards with less than perfect centering but ya like and wouldn't part with. Does anyone else have cards like these that they won't part with?

As much as I'm a centering freak - there was a time when I was not very fussy - especially due to price. Back in the 80s and early 90s.

Pulled this one from a pack when I was 10 years old. I can't believe it survived in this good of condition. I wouldn't think of getting rid of it, but I have been tempted to add a second, better centered one. image

Nice cards Stone. The 57 Mantle looks great! I never minded that one being off-center to the right as the photo itself off-center to the left - it balances out. image

Wow Mike, that's a great assortment of HOFers. I'd be proud to have any one of those in my collection.
  • OC cards have never bothered me much. I have an Yzerman OPC rookie that's PSA 9 OC, and though I'd take a straight 9 or obviously a 10, I'm pretty happy with the one I have.

Very nice cards! I've always been more of a sharp corner person than a centering person.

The 56 Aaron is so sweet I'd almost say it's not even oc!

Traded a beater 63 Mantle for this back in the early 80's, which happened to get me interested in cards again.

Nice cards! Are those 1st generation holders?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Nice cards Mike and everyone else. A little o/c never hurt anyone.
They are still super nice cards to collect.

And to answer for Mike, yes, all those psa holders with the longer bar codes
and different font are from 1993-96. I believe in 1997 PSA switched to
a different font and shorter bar coding, like the one below. I sent in
this Kramer for grading in 1997.

Sorry it's not o/c guys to fit in with this thread and didn't mean to take this OT.
