Cincinnati Reds Bobblehead 1960's (did I overpay?)

I picked this up at an auction last night. My brother is a huge bobblehead collector (especially mascots) so I decided to get this for him as a birthday gift. I got a little carried away with the bidding, but only because I thought my brother had told me that bobbleheads from the 50's & 60's were generally worth money, and something about a gold circular base (haha, i should listen to him more). So, I was just wondering if I got a good deal, over-paid, or paid about market. I paid $115 for it.

looks like you did fine unless it's somehow damaged or been repaired....here's a link to a page from a nodder site with info on yours and the series it came from.

hope your bro likes the gift.

Thank you very much for the info and the website. I'll have to show that site to my brother.

    Thanks again!

one of my favorite sites, vast amount of info and pics to see if you surf around the web and use keywords for the various years and series manufactured, you can get to the pages which are unavailable from the Sample link on their site.

your brother can also purchase a membership to get easier access if he wants to and i think they also do auctions.
