I'm wide open to the idea of including the Darkside, though, as y'all know where my heart lies in that regard.
In fact, I started this project with a Darkside coin. It should be fun to see where it goes in the course of a year.

I'm happy with the results so far, but I'd still welcome a Darkside offer.
Ack, sorry. I'm forgetting myself and starting to stray into spam territory. Mea culpa.
But since this is a discussion thread (which has no discussion yet except for me talking to myself), let's discuss strategy and suggestions for me to include a Darkside coin or coins into this project without causing the trading to stall.

<< <i>Peacemonkey- no, not really, as of yet, but I'm mostly using a "leapfrog" technique whereby I'm a sight-unseen middleman in the trades, so many if not most of these coins so far have not ever even crossed my palm or been in my physical possession. This saves on shipping and logistics, I think. Of course I'll occasionally have one of the trades in hand personally, and I'm sure there will be some I want to ogle and enjoy for a short period before they move on to their new owners. >>
OK I had wondered if you were doing that, because obviously, at least at this point in the value of the item, the shipping costs would have at least equaled the value of it.
I almost went with something that had a slight Darkside flavor to it this time. In the end, it was a bit of a wildcard so I passed on it (for the time being), but I'm still wide open to Darkside offers here. An ancient coin would be nifty.
I'm happy with the progress so far. In a little less than two months I've almost reached STONE's declared $100 starting point. I wonder if he's even started yet. He'd better hurry up, haha! I have had two month's head start, but of course I started at one dollar instead of a hundred dollars.

And there's a slight Darkside (Greyside) and exonumia element to it this time, as well, which is neat.
This is the lot I mentioned in the last post. It didn't go down as Swap #11 but with the addition of the US commemorative half it became #13.
I was happy to get a little Darkside flavor in there, for seasoning, and something "different", even if they were holeys.
Since this last lot was rather complex to describe, with its three oddball but interesting items, I sort of hope the next item will be a single coin.
But I'm keeping all options open. It's been a real blast so far and I welcome new participants and/or spectators. The more the merrier.

I must say, despite several multi-month gaps, this little swap game has been a lot of fun and has done pretty well, considering I started the year with a $1.00 item. Now, with the year winding down, this could end up being the finale, or we might squeeze in one or two more swaps, who knows. (I will make an attempt to be around a little more in December than I have been these last few months.
The latest swap was two rolls of circ war nickels. Four and a half ounces of silver, in other words.
By the terms of the Paperclip game, when the year runs out, I will cash in the proceeds and split them with one of this year's swap partners (selected by a random drawing).
Note that I just used a stock image for the picture. The rolls remain unopened and unsearched by me.

So he and I each netted sixty-something dollars worth of silver bullion for my initial one-dollar investment. Not exactly the way to get rich, and it took a lot of work, but hey, this was a blast. And how many investments net sixty times their initial outlay, right?
I will start Operation Paperclip 2013 soon, along similar lines. Start from basically nothing, and see where it ends up after a year.
