Are UN stamps valid for postage in the U.S. ?

    UN stamps are used on official mail sent from UN Headquarters in New York City, the UN European Office in Geneva, Switzerland, or from the Donaupark Vienna International Center or Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria to points around the world. UN stamps may be used on private correspondence when sent through the UN post offices. UN mail is carried by the US, Swiss, and Austrian postal systems. Hope this answers your question.

    If you are doing a mailing and apply UN stamps to your envelopes there is an address at the UN that you can ship the envelopes to for mailing.

    To some this may seem silly, but since it is easy to purchase UN postage on Ebay for less than 50 cents on the dollar, it could actually be worth the effort.
