My Steelers and the Rest of My Card Collection

I wanted to share with the boards my Pittsburgh Steelers collection. I've been a Steeler fan since I was born. My Dad's family is from Pittsburgh and even moving to Maine at the age of six I was expected to switch from the Pirates/Steelers to the Red sox/Patriots, but my loyalties never wavered. I did however become a huge Celtics and Larry Bird fan. Here's 1948-1979 (Minus 48 Leaf Dudley and 57 Topps Butler)

    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

    Bobby, great Steel Curtain collection!!!

One of my best friends is a big Steelers fan and he grew up on Long Island so its not that unusual.

I also went to college with Rod Woodson. One of my all-time favorites!!!

Hi Bob - superb Steeler - "steel curtain" - collection!

I was in school when they reigned supreme - I think they won 4 SBs in a 6 yr span? Something I doubt will ever be done again.

I never liked the 'rap' on Bradshaw - he was a running back - playing QB - he was dumb - 4 SBs! Next to Stabler - Terry was a favorite of mine.

And for those old enough - was this a great commercial or what?! It's my all-time favorite - with Mean Joe!

Watch this - it'll bring a smile to your face - if you haven't seen it.

  • Great set. Hopefully Bettis and Dawson (and Butler) get the call from the Hall this weekend.

Hey Guys thanks for the kind words. I'm down to my last two and was unable to pickup the Butler last night. Maybe it was a good think because if he does not make the hall the card is not worth the amount I would have paid.

Scott super nice dual auto of Harris and Willie Parker.

Clint I need to try and get Cowher TTM that's an awesome auto.

Mike very cool you went to school with Woodson. I'm at work right now but I'll send you a picture of me and Woody. He was and still is my favorite Steeler.

    Bobby,

You have some really nice and iconic cards. I have thought about putting a Steeler HOF set together for my brother who is a huge Steelers fan.

BTW, where is the Cliff Stoudt rookie? image

  • Nice collection. The Rocky Bleier card has always been one of my favorite 75's for some reason.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
