How does a forum member increase their designation here?

or whatever you want to call it. I'd like to be more than a veteran! Do I have to be part of the registry or a paying member?

    He's saying you are a member and when you get the five posts you need, you'll make it to the big leagues. I'm not sure how many I need to make the starting lineup but I''ll check right now.

    Toro, I think you have to have a contest when you reach 1,000 posts, otherwise, you have to go back to zero and start over again. image

    Ive been here since 2001 and still need 1900 more posts to be able to choose my own title. Im like one of those guys who will make it into the HOF due to my stats from longevity.

    Dunno about that...some of the members of the "veteran's committee" have been known to get pretty selective when considering those who have already gone past
    their primary ballot eligibility.

    I think my stats are equivalent to hitting 10 home runs a year for 25 seasons. Is tha good enough for the Hall of Fame?

    At the pace I'm on, it will only take 30 years to achieve the top ranking!

    So, when you get to 10k and get to choose your title, is that a one shot deal? Whatever you choose you're locked into for the rest of time or do they allow you to change it periodically like your avatar? I'd probably choose something I'd eventually regret like "Frank McCourt - HOF" and then a few years later when he is proven to be an A$$ I'd be stuck with it.

    Kind of like a few tattoos I wish I had not gotten. (I still love you Angelina).
    Learn some history of the game. Join a vintage base ball team in your area and get out there.
