Pictures of my 2 packs. The packs are wrapped very nicely as seen but a little off center on the wrapping. Nice seal on the back. Could see the card through the back was a player from Philadelphia on one pack and Loas Angeles on the other. Did not try to read the players names.
Good group rip Mike. Now lets do an older box like 73
Looking for 66 and 69 OPC baseball 60's OPC packs 72 BB, 60's FB, 71FB, 73FB, 74FB, 75FB, 76FB, 78FB Rack Packs 72 and earlier BB cello
Would love to see scans from someone to see what we might expect. I'm going away this weekend and the Post office already tried to deliver so I wont get them until Monday sometime. Good luck to all.
Working my way to #1 1979 Topps Hockey I know it's going to be tough!
I just opened my two packs.....no gretzky. No scanner handy. Half well centered and in great shape. the other half mixed with the occasional pock-mark and poor centering top-bottom.

If all of those white specs are on the card it will be a automatic PSA 7. Just my experience with the way PSA grades this flaw no matter how sharp the corners are. Steve Hopefully an 8 but if you pull a 8 i want all my 7's graded an 8 free of charge with that flaw.
YUUUUUUP !! That's why i hate opening packs from certain years. Certain card stocks are worse then others. If cards are not kept in a temperature friendly environment that is what happens to them. Steve PS. The other 2 cards are not that bad so they may pass for 8's.
OK Let's not forget that Mike22y2k wants to upgrade his 79 set to reach the #1 ranking. Here are the numbers that are important. First: The following numbers have no PSA 9's or 10's in the pop report so if you get a blazer, Mike wants it.
Great gretzky. Centering is awesome for this year. If it's not the scanner then probably a 7. Great card for a raw set.
Jim, you're the man. Guys and collectors like you are what makes these boards work.
As jim mentioned above, high grade cards are impossible to find. So even if its a common im paying $50 -$250 for anything that I need in 9 or 10. I also need the insets.
Thanks everyone

Even if you were not involved in this pack rip. Please check out your 1979 Topps commons to see if they are worthy of getting graded so Mike can make it there !! Lets remember this is a hobby and supposed to be fun. Everybody has recieved help from somebody throughout the years of collecting i'm sure. So let's be like NIKE and just do it !! lol Steve
hey, so my pack yielded a fair amount of cards with little snow, however, T/B centering was very tough.
frustrating b/c very little chipping, little snow and then all nearly OC identically. fun rip, tho, would def do another if BBCE gets another box. fist pack of these i have ever opened and found it crazy how much the shade of blue for the borders varied card to card.
Just imagine what the other players said to Carol Vadnais. Good thing he had that stick.
BTW, nice hit standrider!!! If you look at the scan of that card, the scanner is definitely adding snow. Hard to tell if it will be a 7 or an 8. Either way it's a BIG hit. Congrats!!!

PSA 8. chaz
Steve
Hopefully an 8 but if you pull a 8 i want all my 7's graded an 8 free of charge with that flaw.
Is this from being in the packs all those years and sticking to the other cards ?
Did anyone get any cards without the white specks ?
Steve
PS. The other 2 cards are not that bad so they may pass for 8's.
First: The following numbers have no PSA 9's or 10's in the pop report so if you get a blazer, Mike wants it.

The following numbers have hit the pop report in either 9 or 10 (probably 9) but Mike still needs in 9 or 10.
12,20,23,27,32,48,53,63,65,74,88,91,92,93,94,95,102,104,114,118,120,128,130,143,147,148,154,156,157,161,
