Puzzling Ebay auction...what am I missing here?
A 1860-O seated half that I would grade as VG8 has been bid up to $103.05. It is a nice original coin, but from my experience, it shouldn't draw more than a $50 bid. An 1860-O is not THAT uncommon from my experience. It doesn't appear to be an unusual variety...there are no rare varieties for this date as far as I know. Is it because of the wording in the auction title? It looks like the seller is concerned as well because he's added a warning that the coin being offered is not a dollar. My guess is either the bidders haven't read the entire auction or there are several bidiots bidding on this auction. Or both. Or am I missing something?

It has attracted 12 bids from 10 bidders. I don't know what the attraction is either.

<< <i>They may think that it is the "eagle laying an egg" variety, which I do not think it is, even though the mm is high and tilted. Maybe another variety I am not aware of.

The "eagle laying egg" variety (WB-104) must have the mintmark "actually touching the stem" according to Wiley and Bugert's "Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Halfd Dollars".
It looks like the top bidder has backed out of their original bid of $150.
