Old ANA Holder, Cross Results. Also a Hannes Tulving!

Cracked out and sent in. I am sure I will get roasted for cracking out.
All dollars.
First grade is ANA, second is PCGS.

It does seem harder and harder to get those PL and DMPL grades these days. Here is the PIC of the 79-S PL. They blew the call on this one!

I'll post a couple pics of the holders later. He used to self slab coins in the 80's I think. Lot's of articles about him on the net as well. They are conservative. (Obviously with a 3 point jump!)
<< <i>Tulving is an online dealer that sells mostly gold and silver bullion. >>
Do a little reading online, he was a lot more than that back in the day, bullion dealing is how he made a comeback. I can't believe people will send him money without having the product in hand, I don't care if he is a dollar an ounce cheaper on gold bullion.

Yeah, he has an "interesting" history.

I think that PCGS and NGC are hard on giving out a PL grade to a coin with color.
ANACS on the other hand I have seen and mainly on the older ones
they'll put PL I guess because they look under the color of the coin. MOO
The Dude seemed to scam people. That being said, he Graded a coin conservative.
I'll post Pics whan I can. (Hannes Tulving)

I guess I need to do more reading on Tulving, but he has a good reputation in the PM world. I have at least a half dozen forum friends across a couple stacking forums who have always been pleased with their transactions with him. Yes he's known as a grouchy humbug, but he hasn't ripped anyone off to my knowledge.
I guess the lesson for me is that I need to do more digging regarding his (seemingly distant?) past
He also has suffered from a stroke. So did my Father.

I'll have to keep my eye open for ANA holdered coins.
The 79S looks PL to me, there seems to be contrast between device n field, just sayin.
