This 1925 Peace dollar has been housed in a Capitol holder since purchased in the the late 90's by an NGC forum member. The coin is drop dead gorgeous in hand with tons of luster and color, although the luster didn't come across as well in the photos. Comments are appreciated.

i love peace dollars and with toning is fantastic but i would prefer to see this coin in a shield holder after being sniffed
good thing about the sniffer for a coin like this, it is pass/fail.

Since the coin was in this state when the current owner bought it 15 years ago, would the sniffer still be able sniff anything?

<< <i>Interesting coin --- in a holder mega $$$$$$, outside a holder many question it ---- this coin epitomizes the value of plastic. >>
Even outside the holder, if it looks like that in hand, with even more luster as Bob mentions, then it is still a $100+ raw coin.
It's definitely interesting as it doesn't have that pure AT look.....it is a really interesting toned peace dollar. I actually like it.
(note, I am not calling it AT, but I know that some automatically go there on peace dollars.....the look of the toning, as it sits on the coin, is what I am referring to....doesn't look like a lot of the ones I would call AT)
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
In addition she isnt the typical 22 or 23, so this would add a nice premium.
Iffy whether or not she will be taken as market acceptable, if she is you hit the jackpot!! Lol
This one only toned on one side.

Not stored as long in canvas bags, compared to Morgans?
Were they even stored in canvas bags? Were they rolled?
Was the silver used for Peace blanks recycled Pittman Act Morgans?
Nice toner IMHO, and great pics. I don't remember where I heard this
but somewhere in my travels, I was told Morgans tone better because freshly
mined silver was used for the blanks. Any merit to this?
