Saturday Night Show and Tell....What You Got

Well I think I figured out how to upload pictures, so I thought I would share a few. This first one is a placemat from a diner, its a Big 10 schedule from 1963. Has a small stain but very nice.

  • I chose each card for a reason. Obviously oscar's hair, and I wanted the Topps Rc trophy represented and who wouldnt want a Cookie. I want to do a '68 next.

With the recent insane upswing on Frank Thomas rookies, pre-rookies, and many '90s inserts, I'm so happy to have added this very early signature to my collection.

Pretty sweet piece of the fallen Metrodome roof, under which Frank Thomas hit home runs numbers 1 and 500, among others.

I snagged this box of unopened from a guy disguised as a nun selling bogus invesment stocks and unopened wax... went by the name of Sister Felicia.

Seemed like a nice enough lady at the time, even though she was a man. Therefore I have no reason to question it's authenticity.

Here's a 1927 football ticket from the Michigan Stadium dedication
game, Michigan vs. OSU. This would be the first time Michigan and
Ohio played at The Big House (although it wasn't as big back then).

  • That is sweet.

Just got my PSA renewal in the mail and picked out 15 cards to send in with the coupon tonight. I may change my mind on a few but it's a start. I've had the Mantle for maybe 30 years so it's time to get graded even though it's miscut, clean card other than that and it's a white back as are Roby and Spahny. Thanks for the thread, nice stuff. Weekends are made for going through cards right? Take care. Doug

Thanks for the thread David, seems like Saturday night is the only time I can go through my collection these days. Unwind time I call it.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
