Maple Leaf Gardens built in 1931 was home to the Toronto Maple Leaf hockey team for many years.

The building is still standing. Its cornerstone contents was opened yesterday.

I was hoping for some nice 1931 Canadian Unc coins, but instead there was this......

Take note of newspaper headings on pictures 9 through 12 (Britain's Gold Standard).

Back in 1965, my older brother and I were at a Leafs hockey game and during intermission, we were watching many hockey patrons kick back and forth this penny that was on the ground. My brother finally chased it down, picked it up and lo and behold!....it was a worn 1909 vdb wheattie! He still has it to this day.
