Express grading in 5 days

Question, so I send in my first card for Express grading and it has been 7 business days since they received it? Is this normal for this service level? It still hasn't popped....
Thanks

7 business days since the cards were delivered to PSA or 7 business days since they were logged in?

I've had a 100-card CC Special pop faster than that.

Yikes...at $35/card for the express service, that's not acceptable. The $20 difference between the Express (5 day) and Regular (10 day) services would be a good place to start when you call to negotiate a refund or voucher for your trouble. $4 per day per card seems to be reasonable to me.

  • You have to wonder if they have less employees or something because orders have never taken this long before. I usually have my bulk orders pop in no more than 10 days and now 10 day orders are taking 12-15, 5 day orders almost 10 days, etc...
  • I've only ever graded like 3 cards and it was with one group sub... This was roughly 8 months ago and it popped in 4 business days. I believe it was 143 cards or so

I have my Collectors Club free submissions pending since Jan 10. Do they guarantee turnaround times or are they no longer giving guarantees since it says "approximately 7 business days". I guess the way it's wesssel worded, they could return it in 100 days and still consider it meeting policy.

Sounds like work is really piled up there. I wonder if they lost a bunch of graders in recent months? Or maybe since SGC is navigating through a rough patch, they have less viable competition and don't have to try as hard to please customers.
