Starting a card club for 2nd graders--any ideas and/or donations?

At my son's school, they encourage parents to get involved and host clubs. My son said to me this summer that I should do a card club there. I put it off and he brought it up again recently and I told him I'd look into it. I didn't think the principal would think it was "academic" enough but she thought it was great and said they like doing fun things at school too. She figured I better limit to 2nd grade as the turnout may be more than what I think. So, I've been coming up with subjects to talk about as some of the hour will be that and there will be time to look at cards and get free ones too. I thought I'd throw it out there to see if any of you had ideas for what to talk about, keeping in mind these are 2nd graders. Also, if any of you have base cards or cheap inserts (especially of MN Twins, Vikings, Wild, Timberwolves, Packers, Brewers, and Bucks but won't turn down anything) or any kind of sports stickers/tattoos and want to send them my way, please PM me for my address.
