  • Had to be some sort of variety? Closed buds?
    a 43-O listed as a 43? or same for the 60-O?

Are 1831 Seated Dimes that rare on eBay?
  • Ahh! Just found it! I am not sure about sharing the link, so the seller doesn't get any ideas that he shouldn't, or someone doesn't try to undercut the bidder.
Nice grab by someone. Hope they get the coin!

But I will say, you gave more than enough clues to try to find. Took all of about 2 minutes.

Yes, took all of two minutes for somebody who knows what to look for.

I think I found 5 BIN's that ended today at under $30 but I have no idea what to look for.

    Wow, nice score.
Thanks for letting us play along on the virtual cherrypick. :-)

    Heck of a pick.

    Whenever I'm feeling good, I can always bring myself back to earth by looking at the recently-closed BINs... :-}

i woudnt lead anyone here on a wild goose chase, i am well aware that chasing a stuffed goose would keep some of you busy for hours

That's what I don't like about BIN's. They get put up and bought between times that I look on ebay. I look at every dime every day. But this seniero can happen any time.image

That was a very nice 41-O closed bud.

It probably would have been nicer if the link hadn't been posted until after the buyer received the coin... I hope they still get it... and know what they got.

This seller has been all over the spectrum of competence. I've seen highly touted "rarities" listed by this seller that were hyped to the max with nothing but conjecture. Live and learn.

Ok... I have to admit... I don't know what I'm looking at/for image

Can someone PM me with the details?

Looks like a closed buds variety. Nice score.

Yep. When I humored him about the fake Trades, he called me "classy". Of course that diploma he keeps on his template makes him BMOC. I refrained from suggesting what better use he could make of that piece of paper. image

First go to your eBay category choice, for example -

    Seated Dimes

Scroll to "Buying Formats" in the menu list on the left.

Under "Buying Formats" click on "Choose more..."

    Check "Completed Listings" click Go.

If you only want to see "Buy it Nows" click on the tab at the top of the listings.
I collect history in the form of coins.
