Bent mint set coin.
I've never noticed anything like this before. It's a '76-D half dollar that looks like it was bent in the collar.
There's not a mark on the obverse or reverse but the reeding displays some damage.
Any ideas? Is this rare?

There's just not much to see here. I know it sounds odd which is why I posted it in the first place.
I just doubt a picture would help anyone solve this. There's no apparent strike on the edge. The
bend is very slight. It appears to bend up on the obverse fromthe 7 O:Clock position. There is a very
slight part of the reverse clad layer at 2 O:Clock that isn't reeded and the reverse is very sharp.
I was hoping someone would recognize the effect from the description. It seems to have been bent
on the way out of the coinage chamber but I've seen nor heard anything like it. The rims and surfaces
show no sign of any force or damage sufficient to bend it. Only the reeding is unusual.
If I ever get pictures I'll bring this thread back (and the DDO '66 25c thread
