M101-5. 1916.
Goodwin auction, Psa 7 looks crisp and lean. Blank back though but an amazing card for sure.....any guesses to how high it goes?

$200,000...

OK, I guess I'll be the one to say it:won't that card move around in that holder? Am I missing something or can those cornerfs get dinged in that holder? Other than that, SUPER nice card!

The description of this card is amazing!!!! Who ever wrote that piece on this card is awesome!!!

It gives you every reason to believe that this card is going to the moon!

This card has everything. Babe Ruth when he was a rookie pitcher. The curse of the Bambino. And the greatest home run hitter of all time wrapped into the Babe Ruth rookie card tied for fourth place in grade.

All I can say is wow! If there are in the range of 70+ copies this is going to stay in strong demand for a while. Just think the 1952 Topps Mantle has around 1,060 cards ever graded by PSA and surely some of those are repeat grades. That being said 1000+ is dramatically more then the Babe Ruth rookie and it is 95 years old.

The final minute should bring some fireworks I would think!

Juice is already added in /w Goodwin. $200k~ was the winning bid including BP.

In sum, the key Ruth card in each set will carry the desigantion of "rookie" unless new evidence suggests otherwise
Two PSA NM-MT 8 Ruth rookies #151 sold for $120,000 and $140,665 in 2005 respectively
A PSA NM-MT 8 Ruth rookie #151 sold for $85,904 in 2006
A PSA NM 7 Ruth rookie sold for $89,104 in 2008
A PSA EX 5 Ruth rookie sold for $56,458 in 2008 and $41,125 in 2009

This came from the online SMR. What a buy of that PSA 8 for $86k in 2006.

my estimate was before buyers premium...

i heard of a big bidder who was gonna bid $200,000 and my contact was dead on..

its a real sweet card....

i rather have ruth rookie vs Wagner t206....am i nuts?

there are not enough 1914 baltimore cards for the ruth collectors....

the 1916 M are more available, thus the increased popularity and price appreciation of this card.

that card is hot...one of my vintage consignors bought the card at the national in Baltimore in a psa 5 for $35,000
, then at Chicago this year, he was offered $60,000.00
