Can someone help me ID this Lid/Card

I was wondering if somebody could help me identify what this is? Is it a candy lid or ice cream maybe? The date on the back is 1973.

Thanks!

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

The first item is a quarter and I am unsure about the McCovey. Good luck, and sorry I could not help you.

It really is, I don't know anything about them, but I am going to see what other players are a part of the set.

As already mentioned, it is a 1974 McDonalds disk.

The disks were issued at San Diego area McDonalds restaurants. Other players in the set are:

    Dave Winfield
    Matty Alou
    Glenn Beckert
    Nate Colbert
    Bill Greif
    Johnny Grubb
    Enzo Hernandez
    Randy Jones
    Fred Kendall
    John McNamara
    Dave Roberts (infielder)
    Bobby Tolan

Disks of Ronald McDonald and a 1974 Padres home game schedule were also issued.

The disks have a hole die-punched at the bottom, so they would fit inside a plastic baseball that was also issued during the promotion. The baseball has the Padres' "Swinging Friar" logo on the top of it. The baseball sits on a black plastic base with the McDonalds logo on it.
