I was looking at the left to right centering. The top to bottom looks ok, but that lettering almost touching the bottom left border bothers me. Anyone know how to measure on scans ?
I don't know much about the issue but when I look at it I kind of have to assume that you should probably measure from the red wings symbol and not the name, because the name is farther than the symbol, so even on 50/50 centered examples the name will be slightly to the left.
Just my observation hopefully someone with knowledge of the issue can chime in.
Great looking issue that I don't collect, so I couldn't tell you if that's considered o/c, but it sure looks close. It might be similar to 1969 Football where you see many cards without qualifiers that appear to have 80/20 t-b centering and the same off centering l-r.
Here's a 70 Glossy that's pretty o/c yet it's a straight PSA 9.
Centering left to right should look more like the Howe IMO. On the Howe the name and team box are much better centered and there is equal distance between the Red Wings logo and the end of his stick. The Lindsey may technically be an 8 centering wise, but it is not a nice 8 with respect to centering. The Lindsey top to bottom is better centered than the Howe as the Howe is pretty high.
I noticed on the Howe that the Red Wings logo is much much closer (pretty much touching) his body in the photo, but the lindsay has more space between the symbol and his arm - do you think that influences the actual amount of white space on the card?
The RW logo on the Howe is larger, they could have used the smaller one that they used on the Lindsey. The Howe is centered high, as both his head and the logo tip are way up there and the blue team name box is bigger than the red box just above it. The Howe is nearly perfect left to right as Detroit Red Wings team name and the picture show. The Lindsey is very heavy on the left as evidenced by the Red Wings name box and picture. The picture on the card and the team name are consistantly centered, if one is OC the other one is OC too.
