My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I'm in for 79 & 80 bb cello, Mike! Can we add the box of 76 cello bb and 75 opc wax, too?

Was hoping for the 76 Cello box break. Any interest in that?

'76 cello would be cool. We should be able to sell out a box.

If one were ripping for possible grading , how tightly are these cellos wrapped from these years?

In my experience, pretty tight. But Paul (BubbleBathGirl) would be the best subject matter expert I could think of.

1970s Topps cellos are tightly wrapped but if packs are clean you can still pull mint cards. Topps began more loosely packing cellos in 1980 though I've seen tightly wrapped cellos from this year, as well.

  • The 76 is already sold, Steve emailed me earlier.

I don't know if there is enough interest for a group break right now.

If people want sone 80's packs, Steve has most if not all in hand.

How about some 2006 Topps Allen & Ginter?

    Later, Paul.
  • Let's see what happens with that mini case from Hunt auctions before another group rip.

Wasn't there discussion of doing the 80s rip (all brands from 81-89?)

    Good, cheap fun.

I'd be in a few and depending on pricing...a few more.
  • Id be in for 79 and 80 also. Even the fleer 84 fleer.

Is this the group rip you were going to come back with or is there more coming?

I was thinking you can possibly list a bundle package with price and see how many people we can sign up?

  • I'd be in for some 84 Fleer and possibly others...I love that crappy set for some reason and since I don't have the budget of most of you guys, I like to jump in when there is some cheaper stuff!

Bummer on the 76 box...all of the Cellos for 76 that show up are constantly priced a bit higher than I've wanted to spend.

If you still get together a 79 or an 80 break I'd be in on that.

  • What about a football run for the Playoffs --- 78-86 with 89 Score kicker -- by my calcs this would be about $75 + Shipping... for 10 packs.. If you add the 77t it would add about $25 to the total per run.

Sell these as RUNS not by box.. Thus if you want one, you get a pack from each year...

In terms of cellos being wrapped tight, is the discussion about the '76, 79, and '80? I remember the last '79 cellos we did, they were tighter than Joan Rivers face after her 42nd face lift. Was '80 wrapped better than its predecessors?

Totally OT, but man, that seems like a good price for a new furnace. I got a quote for a new gas one, and replacing the flex tubing...$5000!

77-86 FB with an 89 score pack for $100 sounds like a great break. I'd be in on that.

Runs of either 80s baseball or the aforementioned football would be fun.

There is a 76 Cello box on the BBCE site. Is it a different box or haven't they updated their site to reflect the sale?

I like this idea.... or an 80's baseball run.

Steve also has a 78 BB wax box..that one at $18 per pack with group rate would sell out quick, too.

Agreed. Someone said he had three. Did he sell out of all three and just not remove it from his website? That would be an interesting break. I wouldn't mind adding another cello or two to my collection, especially since that was the first year I collected.
