Who is Pristine Paper on EBay?

Don't know them. Anytime I see a seller I don't recognize with grades like they get, I wonder who it is.

  • On their website they don't seem to have contact information and list no names it is a pretty poorly made website.

He's a collector in Florida. His name is Peter Iskowitz. I've purchased a few cards from him and have always been happy with the service.

Peter has been a big seller on ebay for years. according to his business filings, he also is president of Sandlot Auctions. ebay ID - sandlotauctions.

seems he has moved all his selling from Sandlot to Pristine paper

I'm sure anyone that's selling $25K worth of newly graded cards every month is 100% legitimate. Enjoy your cardboard.

Sure are, they have perfect feedback on plenty of $500+ transactions as well.

Lee is with Heritage. As far as I know, he's never been in business with Peter...

Interesting, I thought Peter Iskowitz was a grader for SGC, last I knew. No idea this was his operation.

And now you know the rest of the story.

Lee was a grader at SGC in New Jersey. Peter ran Sandlot Auctions during that time period out of Florida. Sandlot morphed into Pristine Paper. They are brothers, but to my knowledge, have never been in business together.
  • they are apart...

I've bought from pristine paper recently with no problems at all. Very nice cards, fast shipping.

However when he was called Sandlot Auctions on ebay, I had to file several (five) non delivery
claims with ebay to get my money refunded.
It was weird, he apparently listed some graded cards twice and I guess he didn't
realize it, so when I won them on the second listing they weren't in stock. I waited patiently
for 15 days and when the cards didn't arrive I sent the seller an email.
He never responded to my several emails after that and never explained what happened, or apologized
for his listing error. He also didn't respond to my ebay claim.
After that I didn't buy/bid with him for the next year.

I've never understood some sellers, if you make a mistake just admit it asap, apologize, and
in 99% of the cases the buyers will understand. Mistakes do happen.
But ignoring buyers and non answering emails is not the way to run a business.
Hopefully his new company is better run and it seems to be, so far.

Reggie Dunlop: Dickie. Something's afloat. This is on the QT, but I think they're gonna sell us. I can't name names, but let's just say that there's a senior citizen's community in a southern state that's in the market for a hockey team.
    Dickie Dunn: The Chiefs?
Reggie Dunlop: Actually, it's Florida. See, they're gettin' a bunch of old geezers down there from the northeast. And what do you think those old geezers really miss in Florida?
Dickie Dunn: I think there are a lot of shysters in Florida.
