Two 1878-S Morgan USGCS Photo Slabs. Anyone collect these?

A friend of mine sent these to me to look at. I've never seen this type of photo slab before. Anyone know anything about them? Any collectors? Are they worth anything beyond the actual value of the coin?

    The flips look like the PVC type so hopefully there is no direct contact between the coin and the flip.

    The coins are in a hard plastic capsule inside the soft flip and there appears to be no PVC problems. I don't think the coins would make 65 at our hosts at any rate even though they are nice. I'm just wondering if there is any interest in this old photo slab as I've never seen nor heard of them and a google search turns up little.
