I really like these BBCE group rips

I come in and out of the boards sporadically as witnessed by my meager 100 or so posts in 2 and a half years. However I really liked opening the 1977 cello and later 1977 wax packs from the 2 rips in which I participated. Both times I got in only because I just happened to check in as they were closing up the participant list. Serendipity if you will.

So please forgive the redundant two questions:
1. These occur every month, right?
2. Is participation based on who reads the posts and signs up before they close? Or is there some other way to get informed?

In high school I told my buddy I'd trade him my 1972 Fisk/Cooper for a Henderson rookie. I pulled the bait and switch and brought in Concepcion and Fingers rookies instead. He reluctantly accepted and handed over the Henderson. 20 years later he no longer collects but reminds every time we catch up for a White Sox game. I wanted to present him a pack from the group rips (77 is his favorite set) to get my karma straight but couldn't last 5 minutes without ripping. I am budgetting myself $70/month for group rips the remaining 11 months of 2012 and want to give myself the best shot to get in. Any insight would be appreciated.

Unfortunately rips/breaks are not regularly scheduled events. Much depends on the availability of legitimate boxes and cases to rip/break.

So your best bet is to check-in regularly and see what's going on. EIther than or have a few of us PM you any time we see a new rip/break
    starting.

I grew up with a Boxer. She was a great dog.

I suggest you check back and normally there is time to get into one if you check back once every few days.

"When you hand them the check, always try to close with a quick anecdote", said Marcia - the head server at the Central Tap. "In my experience, it's always worth an extra 2-3%"

Thanks for the info guys. I will check in more frequently.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I might have to sit that one out, I took a pretty bad hit on the latest '77 Topps rip. It was still fun though! image

  • If you have Facebook, maybe you can add/like Baseball Card Exchange and they can post when we star a group rip? Otherwise, I'd wager that they start going once a month starting next month once we all recover from X-mas spending.
