Need some info on Canadian Dollars

Just got a Dansco album for Canadian dollars and got the new Haxby/Whitman book as well and am confused.

I know there are circulation strikes that come with prooflike surfaces, prooflikes, specimens....

I'm especially talking about the later dates. I would like the set to be evenly matched which means circulation strikes for the early issues...but what about the later dates? I've been getting a few from the 1970s and 1980s that came in small individual boxes, they appear prooflike to me. Are there regular strikes as well?

Thanks!

Dennis

    Dennis,

The regular circulation strikes from 1968 thru 1987 are nickel.

If you are looking to put only silver issues in the album then you need to find the Specimen pieces in the clam shell cases.
