$500 because of simple math...

Good question... I haven't checked eBay, are these actually selling for close to that?

The 2000 Bowman ROY Promotion cards were seeded 1:76 packs with 75 different players available (hey Bowman is the home of the rookie card after all). The cards were identical to the base cards on the front, with the addition of a gold foil ROY stamp. The backs, if I recall correctly, had a write up about how the game worked and how to redeem winning cards.

If you had the card for either the Offensive or Defensive ROY, you could redeem it for a limited edition 25 card set.... I have never actually done a search for these, so I am uncertain what they look like.

The DROY was Brian Urlacher and the OROY was Mike Anderson (one of a parade of backs the Broncos made great).

I know at the time there was speculation that Topps limited the ROY Promotion cards to 100 per player, but I never saw confirmation from Topps on that.

I believe there were 250 made of the ROY redemption cards and 100 each of the MVP redemption cards (every player had a MVP redemption card, but only the rookies also had a ROY redemption card).

Not only is it a scarce rookie parallel, Topps was a mass-market set where many of the cards were purchased by casual collectors and never made their way into the hobby market. I would estimate it's as tough to locate as most other inserts or parallels with half its print run from that year.
