Thanks BNE......That 1938 proof 66 Jefferson from Heritage is mine. Just when I think I know everything I find Heritage's auctions. I have to agree with previous postings that e-bay is getting nuts..............Also, does anyone really, really care if a coin is in a "GREEN" holder. I know you can send them back in but I kind of like the green holder although they don't go well with blue........
THANKS AGAIN BNE.....NICKEL TRIUMPH (90% AND CLIMBING)

"Common wisdom" says that coins in green holders -- especially first generation holders (the coin you won is not in a first generation holder) -- were slabbed in an era when PCGS was more "tight." Many believe these coins tend to be undergraded by a point or so, and could be regraded higher, if submitted again for regrade. The second generation holders (such as the green one that holds the Heritage '38) are a little more "iffy" on this point, but still might be undergraded. As such, they are often sought after for potential resubmission. It's hard to tell from the scan on that '38, but I saw nothing on it that would bar it from being a PR67, if resubmitted.
Plus, it looked like there are some nice, subtle pinks/purples/blues on it. If you were indeed successful in winning it, please let us know if it has the eye appealing toning appearing in the photo.
P.S. If you wish, turn your private messaging on. That way I can let you know if something you're looking for is available without "letting the cat out of the bag" more publicly. (Also, I could have found out that you were indeed pursuing it, and refrained from bidding on it myself a few days ago.)
