<< <i>I never understood why the USPS is run like a welfare office yet expects to turn a profit. They provide money orders at a loss, passport services at a loss, operate as normal on a Sat, seniority takes precedence over intellect, etc. If they want to be a for profit business, run it like one...but (the USPS / govt.) needs to stop complaining about losing money without making smart decisions. >>

I've always wondered what other business would give away product like they do with flat rate boxes. He'll they'll even mail you some if you ask - how odd is that?

I would guess that the majority of items that are shipped in flat-rate boxes could be shipped cheaper in non-flat-rate boxes.
  • I thought I saw that the new small parcel rate for 1 to 3 OZ's was $1.95.
