1958 Topps Football Cello Rip--Results Posted

Going against my better judgement, I purchased a 58 Topps Cello Pack under the guise of "holding." Yeah, right...

Here's how it went down...

Pack itself:

The first few were pretty nice, particularly Joe. Gifford way O/C

No Jimmy Brown, and quite a few of them way O/C but still a ton of fun. Will probably submit a couple of these to PSA. Though I have VCP and have looked them up, any thoughts on which to send in would be welcome.

I'd personally be happy with the Gifford regardless of the centering. Just for the simple fact that I pulled it.

Its amazing how cards from the same pack can be all over the place in terms of centering.
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

    What fun!!

I'd submit the Schmidt, Baker, and Walston.
The rest are too o/c. The Chandler has the stain/ding by the top right corner, otherwise it might
be a candidate too. That Lenny Moore sells well in a PSA 8, tough card.

    Gifford's RC is '52 Bowman.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

    but

    .......... ~ $417.00 08/18/10

The Gifford would be a '3'. I had one raw that looks EXACTLY like that. Great corners, the whole nine yards, just centered to the left, same as yours. It is still very cool that you pulled one - just looks like this particular pack might have been best left unchecked.....but what fun is that!?!?!?!

Scrolling down, I really thought for a split second that the Keller was the Sonny rookie.

Four HOFers in one cello isn't anything to sneeze at.
