Can this coin be saved?

Hadn't looked closely at this one in a while, but I'm sure it didn't look this bad back when ANACs was using the small white holders. Should I crack it out and hit it with some acetone? NCS? It's a 1930 5-legger in MS and I'd hate to lose it.

    You can at least get MOST of that gunk off...all of it, maybe not. Regardless, it can be improved!!

    To answer your question, yes, this and any coin can be saved. All you need to do is put it in a secure place and do not spend it. A penny saved is a penny earned.
