2012 Silver Eagle Release

Sorry for the noob question... but how are people already selling 2012 first strike silver eagles on ebay? I don't see them on the U.S. mint site for purchase.

These are the bullion version of the coin released through wholesalers. The collector version, typically with the W (and now, apparently, S) mint mark, is sold directly to collectors at a later date.

Keep up now libertydude image. The number of labels and options is going to the moon soon. Its halfway there now. Look on Ebay and be sure to keep track of the W's, no W's (W's), (S's) ER FS NO ER NO FS 25th anniv, 25th anniv set. Man I consider myself as knowledgable where ASE's are concerned and I"m not sure I can keep up image

sports cards, beanie babies, and the Canadian mint have jumped the shark (usually, it's the "hologram" issues that does it) The US mint is following all the footsteps...
