Pistareen finally writes about Pistareens

In the January 2012 issue of The Numismatist, pgs.68-72, there is an interesting article written by John Kraljevich, Jr. (aka: Pistareen on the boards) about his research into early coins that were circulating in America in the late 1700's.
He outlines how original documents need to be the source for information, and how oftentimes, the translation of languages other than English can be a problem.
His well-written and well-researched article is a must read for anyone who desires to be an American numismatic researcher and/or historian.
Well done!

John is a great writer - especially enjoy his blog, not to mention his catalog contributions.
BTW, here's my newp pistareen -
I know there's a book about pistareens and cut money in me someplace. There sure is plenty of substantive original documentation on both!
And yes, Coinosaurus, the ANA and the staff of the Numismatist does a great job handling me, despite the fact that I'm almost always late and occasionally pushy. Their work is truly commendable.
Betts medals, colonial coins, US Mint medals, foreign coins found in early America, and other numismatic Americana
You guys should call the ANA membership office and request a cut of my dues.
