I charge $2.00, $.50 each additional and $6.00 max. Basically I lose a quarter or two, but that is my compromise between the free shipping sellers.

Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
I think its best not to charge shipping. If want want to make up the difference for shipping, just include it in the total cost (If youre doing a buy it now ofcourse) Some people will ding your stars or give you a nuetral because you may have charged .50 cents over the regular shipping cost. It happens.
If you do multi and you just wanna charge for shipping, best to give shipping discount. Maybe like .50 cents extra for another card or whatever - but make sure your auction states that and I think its also up to the seller to notify you too about the multi purchase because for sellers who constantly ship things out, they might not notice its from the same seller until after the first item is all packaged and ready to go or even worse, its too late because you shipped it out already.
I charge whatever the amount comes out to be; rounding up of course If somebody buys 2 cards or 2 DVDs instead of 1, usually the shipping cost does not change, so I don't charge any extra.
$3.00 first card, 50 cents for each additional one. There is no max cap, because the additional cards would increase the weight, which would make the cards ship Priority vs First Class. Alot of cards, I actually lose money on shipping, even with the 50 cent per card extra.
Free shipping. Just factor into the cost and set that as the minimum opening bid. Very often buyers do not expect a discount when multiple items are purchased and you come out further ahead. Then when/if you kick a bit back for a discount you win them over for future sales.
I was considering FS, but instead I charge $2.50 no matter how many are bought.

If you're selling raw commons, adding the cost of shipping into each card will kill your sales, IMO.

I charge free shipping, as well, just to avoid star dingers, but I definitely think it hinders some sales, particularly cards that would normal be $3 plus shipping that you are forced to make $6 with free shipping.

Exactly; I know if I'm common shopping, a bunch of $5 cards with free shipping won't lead me to buy many from that seller. A bunch of $2 cards with combined shipping would work better. Anything < 10 raw commons can probably be shipped in a bubble mailer with all the cards secured in Savers for under $5.

Didn't you bring this up last March? I think the majority of the board agreed that your shipping charges were EXTREMELY HIGH. IIRC, you sell mostly raw cards. You charge $3.00(?) for the first raw card, something like $7.00 for up to 10 cards and then $1.00 for each additional card.
So 25 raw cards, which can probably be shipped for $3.00, would cost the buyer $22.00!!
My suggestion would be to start your auctions a bit higher and SIGNIFICANTLY reduce your shipping charges. $1.50 for up to 5 cards and then .25 each additional card would MORE THAN cover your charges.
JMO.
Good Luck.
STAY HEALTHY!

Yep, but it was a 'buyer won't complete deal' type thread where all the real info came out later.

1-2 cards $3.00
2-4 cards $4.00
5-9 cards $5.50
10 and above $10.50
I carry a 4.8 out of 5 on ebay star system for shipping costs. Not perfect, but only category lower than a flat 5.
