An interesting looking piece. The barbed wire on the front and apparent prayer on the back got me interested in looking for some more information about this medal. I'm not sure how much you already know, but I found that it is evidently a medal sold to raise maoney by an organization seeking to held defend Catholicism in Germany against communism. The information I found comes from here, which also has nice translations of the inscriptions and descriptions of the symbolism:

I can't speak for harasha, but my understanding is that many Jewish people refrain from writing down the name of God as a measure of respect, so that it cannot be thrown away or erased.
