I think I'll just wait to hear about it here. I'd rather watch the New Hamster voting for "president of the world"

The slabbed Morgans were nice MS64s in the OGH. The trade dollar was a dud.

Their expert wasn't very good- the one proof set looked to be a premier/prestige type packaging and he called it a 1955 and said it was a better set- I'm pretty sure he meant to say a 1995. He called two uncirculated peace dollars proofs and put a value of $50 each on them. The trade dollar was in a packet with about 5 or 6 other dollar size coins- all but the eagle in the package were magnetic and he said it was the only good coin in the package- I would be willing to bet it too was a fake.

If Brandi bought them, she could have autographed them and asked a higher price for them.

I won't be too surprised if Brandi were to leave Jarrod - he sure treats her like dirt. She should find a better looking, nicer guy than him.

I know some people think the show is junk but I kinda got hooked on it 2 years ago when a brother from back east was visiting and he turned it on.
It is quite entertaining and I really think Barry s a cool dude.

Yeah that was pretty wild. I briefly saw the Peace dollars were 1922. Then when I heard the dealer say, "These are proofs" my head snapped back and I thought, "HOLY COW THE 1922 PEACE PROOFS!" Then came "worth about $50". I hit rewind and saw that they weren't proofs but rather AU/BU looking 1922 Peace dollars.

Now I'm pretty far from an expert, so I can't criticize. But I would be pretty embarassed if I worked at one of the "largest coin stores" and called those proofs on national television.

But I did get educated about the magnetics and such. At coin shows, do buyers routinely do the magnet tests on raw coins to test for counterfeits? Seems like it would scratch the coin or something, so sellers would be pretty particular about it.

Barry makes the show fun-- tired of the drama between Hester and the others. I'd totally watch a show with just Barry.

The Texas version of the show is too awful to watch in its entirety.

If she is so smart (same for the rest of them) how come they do not know that a proof set is worth 5 bucks. Is that really hidden information.

That is why I like Auction Hunters (I think) with Ton and Allen. At least Allen knows his business.
