Washington Quarter..........GTG **Revealed**

A little side project I have going is a 32-64 Washington set. I don't really actively seek them out, but when I run across a coin that looks nice and the price is right, I will buy it.

This coin looks fantastic in person, but is difficult to image and grade. I have the coin in hand and it's difficult to grade. I will offer my thoughts later. It is graded in an old small holder ANACS holder.

What are your thoughts and grade for the coin?

The coin looks pretty clean but it also looks a little to dark to warrant a premium gem grade. I am gonna say MS65.

A lot of the mint set quarters from that era are graded MS66. It looks nice, so I'll go with that.

looks 66. Good luck with the 32-64 set. They are fairly easy to put together in MS64-65 oh , and time and money

I'll guess 66 as well, I've seen quite a few darkly toned coins in those old ANACS holders and it never seemed like it held down the numerical grade.
