Wife's new company has season tickets for the Lightning and I'm going to the game this evening to watch them vs. Vancouver.

Growing up in MA. a huge Bruins fan and now that I live down in Florida it might be time to throw my support to a new team. Hopefully young Stamkos puts on a show tonight against the Canucks.

What do the hockey experts think about Stamkos?

Have a fun time at the game. I am a HUGE Yzerman fan and hope he has years of success with Tampa. As for Stamkos...I think that when his career is over he has an amazing chance to be one of the greatest goal scorers ever. Amazing player.

Matt, I'm up in Palm Harbor. About 4 years ago my wifes company bought International Labs in St. Pete so they asked us to come down here. You near there?

Matthew, I'm a huge fan of Yzerman and Neely. 1984 brought us some of the greatest hockey players. Hopefully Stamkos puts a few in the net this evening

Palm Harbor is a about a 45 minute drive from me. Basically, it's just a straight ride right down US19.

Looks like you picked a good game to go to (of course they did loose but it was exciting!). And...Stamkos had a goal and assist!

Game was great. Went into overtime and at end of overtime had a shootout. Stamkos missed his shot trying to go through the legs. One on one ...never going to happen. Maybe in high school.

Man I was very surprised how hockey has changed over time. The game has been sped way up by eliminating alll the whistles. The checking and hacking has been cut way down. The hoop sucking is crazy. Now Stamkos and others stand at center ice waiting for a breakout. I guess the elimination of the 2 line pass has bred this change.

Just like last years game there were alot of Canadiens there. I guess if you can package a hockey game and some great beaches in the middle of winter we have quite a destination.
