First Silver in change in 3 years

Had to stop by Ace Hardware today to pick up a couple small things. Got a 1964 Washington Quarter in change! Call me a dork, but I was proud of myself for HEARING that it was silver before he even put it in my hand. Asked the cashier for another $2 in quaters. Got a bicentennial but no more silver. Made my day!
How long since your last silver from circulation (not including searching rolls)?

Wow, nice score! I would have bought him out of all the quarters. You probably made money buying your newspaper/magazine. It was nice essentially getting $5 back for free with my purchase.
More recently, I was looking for my pocket piece Morgan (still MIA) and thought maybe my daughter snagged it off the floor and put it in her piggy bank. In looking through her bank contents I found a 1962 Roosie. Maybe I left it laying around (I'm usually very good about keeping silver away), maybe it came from change elsewhere.

<< <i>received a silver quarter 1964 at the bar last week. Also got another quarter last year in change. before that over 15 years. Probably coming out of hiding due to the recession. >>
according to the government, the recession ended in mid-2009...

The Government did say that, what they did'nt say is that the Depression started

<---------- I think it's been that long for me too... Of course I worked at a few fast food joints when I was young... Might have seen some there. I know my mother has pulled silver from the till (With the managers knowledge of course).

Aside from silver I also found 1905 Indian Head Cent and one each of 1943 P, D & S Steel Cents.
I was quite stoked with each of the finds.
