Does this coin really exist?
And if they exist, what is a fair market value?

the coin does exist. and so do many forgeries. My German friend does own one authentic and 5 forgeries. His collection is worth literally Millions.
How did he get them??/ he bought the forgeries thinking they were real.
BUT, the real and authentic coin , in about AU 55, he received together with a collection he purchased at an auction in Germany.A estate was auctioned off and Nobody even thought to have the collection evaluated before selling.
so they gave it to the "local" auction house in a small town.
He bought 18 full coin Albums with German silver all high mid to high grades, a few German gold coins and a ton of German colonial coins and bills. That was 20 years ago. he paid 45,000 German Marks then ( today about 23, 000 Euros or about 30,000 dollars
He still calls this buy his second best acquisition. He estimates the value of this buy in todays value to be approximately Euro 1 million ( all together)
There are no forgeries known that could be attributed to the 1905F 1 mark to be from the orient.... so far.
Value of this coin is anywhere from Euro 15,000 for low grade to who knows....for an authentic coin.
If you have one, count yourself fortunate and have it authenticated.
And NO, Not a PCGS, but contact Volker Weege at this address: v.weege@webway.at
He and his company ( moneytrends.at) have developed a special coin-metal testing method in cooperation with the University of Braunschweig.
hope that helps.... a bit.
wish I had a handful real ones...

are you also aware of what happened after the sale?
more extremely rare similar exclusive German Reich coins changed hands....privately, brokered by a certain German auction house.
a few of them turned out to be of questionable status. ( No liability on the broker side), and buyer beware.

I'm not sure what you are saying, but the 1905F mark had a Papproth expertise and I once owned the 1909J 25 pfennig proof in the same sale and it also had a Papproth (slabbed NGC PR67Cam and now in a PCGS PR66Cam). I am pretty sure the 1905F was real and was the only known proof.
